Lemony Goodness
Despite the acidic taste of lemons, this essential cuisine ingredient is actually aklaine-forming in the body. But lemons aren't only a crucial component in a health balacnced pH diet, they are carry 8 other health benefits.
1. Rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C is essential for building a strong immune system, repair and maintain body tissue, and blocking the body from damage from free radicals. Free radicals not only contribute to heart disease, it is also linked to ageing.
2. Liver detox. Lemons help dissolve uric acid and other posions to detoxify the body and reduce the work of the liver.
3. Digestive tract cleansing. By increasing contraction of the bowels, lemons increase bowel movement to promote regular waste elimination.
4. Prevent scurvy. Scuvry is a relatively rare disease in the developed world that is the result of a diet that lacks vitamin C (absorbic acid).
